COMPUTERS THAT THINK ON THEIR OWN...

Computers that think on their own will be fitted out with biochips in the new millennium, cloned from human cells. The PC then receives the user’s cellbiochip, causing the machine to obtain a personality. An internationally famous computer and software expert sent me a nice reaction. And I quote literally: ‘I was reading your book and quite frankly smirked a little at your prediction about a chip being based on the user’s DNA with its personal characteristics. I thought the idea was unique, but somewhat far-fetched. The next day, I read to my astonishment about recent breakthroughs in the area of ………DNA-computerchips.

Although they don’t have any personal characteristics yet, it concerns a chemical method able to calculate with the speed of light and store the data by means of molecule chains (= DNA chains). One of those examples that all good ideas seem far-fetched at the beginning.’ A dectecting device for scent will ‘smell out’ tomorrow’s terrorist. Future bio-energetical electronics will be able to ‘read’ their brainwaves. Expectations of the future. Fantasy or reality? These two quantities are in fact extremely close together. Visions, acquired ‘images’ still hidden in the future. Fiction or truth in coming? Perhaps you’ll allow me to talk to you about the year 2002 in all mental freedom.

Hopefully you’ll not be too alarmed if I tell you that this year’s going to be a difficult one for politics from an international point of view. France is going to play an obstinate part in international politics. Deep running policy conflicts between France and the UK, and between Germany and France. Europe in a ferment! Isolationism by the USA. They don’t want to get their hands dirty with Europe. An attempt will be made on the life of a presidential western leader.
